Thank you, Dalton!
“I am profoundly humbled and honored by the overwhelming trust and support you have given me to be not only your next mayor, but the first female mayor in Dalton’s history. Tonight, we rejoice in more than just a victory; it's a triumph for the future of our beloved Dalton as we move forward together.
Throughout this campaign, my message has centered on a positive vision, building on the remarkable successes of our current leadership. The voters have graciously concurred with this vision, affirming our shared commitment to 'Keep Making Good Things Happen in Dalton.'
As we look ahead, I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with the City Council in my role as Mayor. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to our new Council member, Nicky Lama. Also would like to congratulate Tyree Goodlett and Dennis Mock on their re-election to the city council. Along with Councilmember Steve Farrow and our excellent city staff, we'll forge a powerful team dedicated to making GOOD things happen in Dalton.
I must express my deepest gratitude to all who voted for me, generously contributed to our campaign, and volunteered to amplify our message. It's your unwavering support that has made this happen. Thank you, Dalton, for this resounding mandate and for entrusting me with the privilege of serving you as your mayor.”

Parks, Recreation, and City Services
Let’s focus on our parks, recreation, and city services to keep Dalton a safe place to work, live, and play. Playgrounds and ball fields create healthy activities for youth engagement, as well as vibrant areas for family and individual use! We have made huge strides with Haig Mill Lake and the start of connection trails . Let’s keep growing!
-
Infrastructure Investment
Infrastructure is the backbone of our city. We will continue to prioritize modernizing and maintaining roads, stormwater drains, better street lighting, and sidewalk improvements. Dalton is growing, and we are ready to match our infrastructure with that growth!
-
Support Existing Industries
Dalton is one of the few places that still creates and distributes manufactured goods. We will create partnerships to develop the future labor force for sustainable business growth. We will also continue to keep Dalton business friendly for entrepreneurs and industry.
-
Continue Downtown Growth
Downtown Dalton has strategically grown in leaps and bounds over the last five years. We will continue that momentum with strategic and purposeful beautification projects, streetscape projects, and sidewalk initiatives to make downtown pedestrian friendly and supportive for growing small businesses.
